Real beer drinkers in Wokingham and Bracknell have named the best pub and deserves the distinction of the best club.
The Berkshire South-East CAMRA Pub of the Year and Club of the Year were voted on by all CAMRA members registered with the branch. The pubs that made the cut were shortlisted based on the ‘WhatPub’ rating – which is done by any CAMRA member visiting the pubs during the year.

Each regional winner takes part in the national competition to find Britain’s best pub. The big winner is announced during National Pubs Week the following February.
The 2021 Branch Pub of the Year Award – Queen’s Head
Club of the Year Award – Binfield Club
Each year, the Berkshire South-East branch of CAMRA awards a Club of the Year at an open meeting at the start of the year.
The criteria for winning the award are that the club must be open for the majority of permitted hours and not be restricted to limited opening hours, the club must allow access to members of the public, the club must sell and support the real ale, the club must meet criteria for a minimum beer score and a minimum number of beer scorers in the previous 12 months.
The club should, whenever possible, be involved in community activities.
Cider Pub of the Year – Wheelwright’s Arms, Wokingham
Community Pub of the Year – Ship Inn, Wokingham
The other finalists were Hope & Anchor, Wokingham and White Horse, Wokingham Without.
