The Buffalo Bills are 1-1 and next Sunday they will play their second home game of the 2021 regular season. The Bills host the Washington football team at 1 pm at Highmark Stadium.
The Week 3 game will mark the first with the new vaccine tenure at Highmark Stadium, which was announced last week by Erie County Manager Mark Poloncarz with Pegula Sports and Entertainment.
The new mandate requires any fan aged 12 or older attending the game to have at least one dose of vaccine. This goes until October 31, when fans over 12 must be fully vaccinated (both doses of Pfizer or Moderna or one dose of Johnson & Johnson).
The bills allowed season ticket holders to request refunds before the deadline of Friday, September 17, and according to a report by Sal Capaccio of WGR, 762 refund requests were made by season ticket holders.
WIVB’s Chris Horvatits reported the same shortly after.
All 762 reimbursement requests were accepted. In other words, they were requested on Friday September 17th.
The vaccine’s tenure is the same for Sabers games and events at KeyBank Center, starting this Saturday for the Eric Church concert. The Sabers’ first home game of the regular season will be on October 14 against the Montreal Canadiens.
Acceptable proof of vaccination are physical vaccination cards, Excelsior passes (on your phone), a clear digital vaccination card, or a government digital vaccination card for those who do not live in New York State. .
There is no testing option for fans attending matches or events at Highmark Stadium or KeyBank Center.
